About This Video
What Jesus Taught at the Well
In John 4, Jesus stopped at a well in Samaria and spoke with a woman who had come to draw water. He told her that whoever drinks ordinary water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water He gives will never thirst. Instead, it becomes a spring of water welling up to eternal life (John 4:13–14).
Jesus was not talking about the water in the well. He was offering her something deeper, the eternal life that only He can give. She had come for something temporary, and Jesus offered her something that would never run out.
That is the heart of the gospel for our kids. We all come with a thirst that nothing else can satisfy, and Jesus meets it Himself.
Talk About It Together
Ask your family: “What did Jesus mean when He talked about living water?”
Try this at the sink or a water fountain. Have your child take a drink and notice how thirst comes back later. Then talk about how Jesus said the life He gives keeps going forever. You might also look at a photo of a river or a spring and talk about how water keeps flowing instead of drying up.
